According to the Atlantic’s Chris Good, “there were only two moments of genuine clapping” during President Obama’s speech before the U.S. Chamber of Commerce the business federation that spent $32 million campaigning against Democrats in the midterm elections earlier today. When Obama joked, “I will go anywhere anytime to be a booster for American business, and I don’t charge a commission,” they didn’t even humor him with a chuckle. Maybe he just set the bar too high with that salmon joke. [Atlantic]
