Hot 97 D.J. and BET personality Corey “D.J. Megatron” McGriff was shot and killed near his Staten Island home on Sunday. According to the New York Post, McGriff may have been distracted while talking on his cell phone when he was accosted at about 2 a.m. and fatally shot once in the chest. At least four young men were seen running from the area around the time of the shooting. Police sources said investigators believe the 32-year-old was the victim of a botched robbery.
