Department of Ed to Launch New Elementary School in Lower Manhattan

The school will be housed in Tweed Courthouse, where the Department of Ed itself is headquartered. The move is an effort to alleviate school crowding in the area. It’s set to open to 50 kindergartners in September 2012. [NYT]
