There will be slightly less “video intelligence” at the Department of Defense from now on. On Monday, the Pentagon’s Cyber Command (how adorably Hackers of them!) shut down employees’ access to streaming videos on YouTube, Amazon, and Googlevideo. And that’s not because everyone’s watching the latest Lady Gaga shenanigans. No, DOD workers are watching videos of the Japanese earthquake and it’s eating up much-needed bandwidth in that part of the world.
