A letter obtained by the French newspaper Le Parisien claims Dominique Strauss-Kahn caused so much trouble with female flight attendants that Air France arranged a male-only staff for his trips. The airline “formally denies having given any instruction about the composition of its crews,” but lawyers for DSK accuser Nafissatou Diallo are soliciting damning accounts from airline employees; they received one anonymous letter alleging, “Air France has a few hundred complaints from clients, employees, crew members who met the man suspected of having abused your client.”
According to the maid’s lawyers, “this inexplicable mindset which enables him to abuse women is further proof which gives credibility to the aggression Madame Diallo underwent on May 14.” DSK is due back in court on August 23.
