During a Sunday appearance on CBS’s Face the Nation, the former president revealed that he didn’t think Dick Cheney was actually trying to be nice when he said he thought Hillary Clinton would make a better Democratic candidate than Barack Obama. Bill told Mike Allen that while he’s “very proud” of his wife and thinks “she’s done a good job” as Secretary of State, he also has a “high regard for Vice President Cheney’s political skills,” which apparently include “sowing discord among the opposition.” He added, “And I think he, by saying something nice about her in the way that he did, knew that it might cause a little trouble … But I admire that he’s still out there hitting the ball.” Takes one to know one, right Bill?
