Governor Andrew Cuomo won the approval of 86 percent of New Yorkers for his handling of Tropical Storms Irene and Lee, with only 7 percent disapproving, bringing his overall approval rating to an all-time high of 66 percent, the most overwhelming positivity ever recorded for a governor in a Quinnipiac University poll. Cuomo is dominating in the suburbs with an approval rating of 74 percent, and wins a still impressive 62 percent in the city.
