Michele Bachmann Is Unhappy That American Troops Have Been Sent to Both Libya and Africa

It’s one thing to hilariously confuse Iowa’s various small towns, but even a less-than-likely presidential candidate should make an effort to avoid flubbing world geography. As Michele Bachmann reminded viewers of Tuesday’s GOP debate, Pennsylvania congressman Tom Marino’s fears about the U.S.’s intervention in Libya have come to pass. Referring to President Obama’s recent decision to send a small number of American soldiers to help defuse Uganda’s ongoing civil war, Bachmann complained, “The president, he put us in Libya. He is now putting us in Africa. We already were stretched too thin, and he put our special operations forces in Africa.” At least she doesn’t think Africa is a country? [HuffPo]
