So says the Census Bureau, which recalculated the city’s land mass using “the most sophisticated mapping techniques possible,” and found that we’ve been giving ourselves credit for an extra two square miles. This is on top of the 17 square miles that were removed from the official calculation in 2008 —meaning we’re all way crowded more on top of each other than we’d even thought/complained about.
