There’s been a big renovation project in John Liu’s office: The city comptroller had cubicle walls torn down to create an open bullpen atmosphere. The Daily News contends that the scandal-plagued Liu wants to make it tougher for snitches to chat on the phone. The paper reports: “‘They are afraid that people inside are giving information out,’ a Liu employee said of the persistent whispers among the staff that one in their number is giving up valuable intel.” Gee, anonymous Liu employee talking to the Daily News … wonder why they’d ever think that was going on?
