Tucker Carlson’s the Daily Caller has a new piece of journalism this week in which they count the number of times Rachel Maddow said “vaginal” or “vagina” between February 14 and February 24, calling it “eerily similar to former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann’s use of the word ‘Sir.’” Get it? She’s a woman. In real life, Maddow’s choice of words was only eerily similar to the relevant language of the reproductive-rights issue she was covering comprehensively: a bill from Republican Governor Bob McDonndell of Virginia (heh) that would have required women to have a “transvaginal ultrasound” before an abortion. Governor McDonnell ultimately decided against the controversial measure; the Daily Caller’s judgment skews more middle school.
