A spokesman for Libya’s ruling National Transition Council demanded on Saturday the extradition of Al-Saadi Qaddafi, basically, for being a jerk. In a a recent telephone interview with Al-Arabiya TV, the son of murdered dictator Moammar Qaddafi, who’s currently under house arrest in neighboring Niger, said that supporters of his late father’s regime “are suffering tremendously” and that Libya’s new leadership is “a group of gangsters.” But apparently the real rub is the son’s comment that, “There is an uprising that will happen everywhere in the country.” He added, “This will be a new popular uprising.” Niger refuses to extradite him but will ship him to Hague. In the mean time, Al-Saadi will have to stay in his room.
