The Japanese competitive eater who ate 53.5 hot dogs in the 2006 Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest broke the record for the number of grilled-cheese sandwiches consumed in a minute at the GroupMe Grill at SXSW today. Along with panels such as “The Mind and Consciousness As an Interface,” the grilled-cheese event was part of the festival’s “Interactive” weekend.
