Bloomberg Has Spent $600 Million of His Own Money to Stop Smoking

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced a new $220 million donation from his personal fortune today to fight tobacco use. In all, he’s given more than $600 million to anti-smoking causes worldwide, dwarfing his recent gift to Planned Parenthood, but really putting his piles and piles of money where his mouth is.
