With the bedlam of Super Tuesday behind us, the political mediaverse now turns to the Deep South and the Alabama and Mississippi primaries next Tuesday. Both states were dubbed must-wins by Newt Gingrich’s still-faltering campaign, not wholly improbably given his recent win in nearby Georgia, though Mitt Romney does currently enjoy a ten-point lead in next-door Alabama. Also, while no recent polls have been conducted in Mississippi (a November poll there gave Gingrich a sixteen-point margin), Romney did just get a little boost when Mississippi governor Phil Bryant officially boarded the Mitt-mobile earlier today.
