Super Tuesday is here and it’s time to take the temperature in one of the most hotly contested and maybe the most important state today, Ohio. A CNN/ORC poll released Monday had Romney and Santorum tied at 32 percent among likely Republican voters; Public Policy Polling pegged Romney a one-point winner with 37 percent to Santorum’s 36 percent; Quinnipiac found Romney with a three-point advantage in its Monday poll; and Nate Silver’s meta-poll, based on samples from Sunday and earlier, gives Romney a two-point advantage, or a 65 percent chance of winning. Ohio polls close at 7:30 p.m. but let’s not forget Alaska voters today, who will be performing the same civic duty but with the burden of record-breaking snowfall. Come for the caucus, stay for the snow angel.
