America: Hey John McCain, tell us a funny joke!! C’mon. We need to laugh.
John McCain: OK! Stop me if you’ve heard this one before. It’s kinda like a knock-knock joke, only it starts with someone asking who I think should be the vice-presidential candidate should be. Can someone help me?
Erica Hill, Host of CBS’ This Morning: Sure, why not. John McCain, who should be Mitt Romney’s running mate?
John McCain, laughing uncontrollably: “I think it should be Sarah Palin.”
America: I think we have heard that one before. So that was all a big improv sketch, that 2008 thing? Huh. Really got a little out of control.
