In case you were curious about what part of the city the characters in the eagerly anticipated HBO show will be haunting onscreen: Writer Lena Dunham told Gothamist that her character lives on Greenpoint’s India Street (along with her roommate, played by Allison Williams), while the show’s two other main “girls” live on Elizabeth near Broome in NoLita. Jerky love interest Adam, meanwhile, makes his home on St. John’s Street in Prospect Heights, a long, transfer-filled subway schlep from Greenpoint.
