First of all, Daily Intel would like to state for the record that the practice of surgically appending “neuticles,” or silicone testicles, to neutered dogs sounds cruel. As does signing up your pet for a tummy tuck or tattoo — two other procedures that Staten Island Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis seeks to propose banning in the state of New York.
However, we cannot help finding it hilarious that support or non-support of the right to fake canine testicles has become a measure of conservatism in this great country of ours: According to Times Union reporter Jimmy Vielkind, Malliotakis (owner of two presumably all-natural chihuahuas, Peanut and Olympia) was “razzed” by colleagues for writing the ban into legislation, and “brushed aside my question about a limited-government Republican trying to regulate pet tummy tucks.” Freeeeddddddommmm!
