The city announced on Tuesday that it’s acquired the final section of abandoned railroad on Manhattan’s West Side, which allows plans for the completion of the High Line to finally move forward. The last segment, donated by CSX Transportation, stretches from 30th Street and Tenth Avenue to Twelfth Avenue, and ends at 34th Street. City officials say visitors can expect “sweeping views of New York City’s skyline and the Hudson River” — not to mention a whole new batch of angry neighbors.
