Last month, 5-year-old Naim reacted like many Knick fans to the loss of Jeremy Lin: by sobbing uncontrollably. The footage of his teary tantrum received more than 30,000 views on YouTube to date, and apparently one of those viewers was Lin himself, because that sweetheart of a man offered to have a personal Skype session with Naim.
As if this wasn’t menschy enough, Lin, instead of telling Naim, “Listen, Jim Dolan hates you and you’re better off rooting for a different team now, while you’re still young and your soul has yet to be crushed,” told him, “You need to still root for [the Knicks] because they’re going to be a great team with or without me.”
And now we miss him more than ever.
