On Wednesday, performance artist Holly Van Voast scored a victory for all women who long to ride New York’s public transportation topless, which is a group that may only include Van Voast. The New York Post reports that she was charged with violating the MTA’s hygiene code for going shirtless on a Metro North train in Manhattan in June, but the judge found that the rule only applies to those trying to bathe in MTA facilities. Van Voast, who once flashed Bill Cosby, is still facing charges for going bare-breasted in St. Patrick’s Cathedral and two subway stations this year. “She still has three outstanding busts,” said her pun-loving lawyer Ron Kuby. “We will fight all of them on the same ground — that women are permitted to bare their breasts anywhere men are permitted to bare their breasts.”
