In New York this week, former Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton adviser Neera Tanden, now president of the Center for American Progress, told John Heilemann, “People say the reason Obama wouldn’t call [Bill] Clinton is because he doesn’t like him. The truth is, Obama doesn’t call anyone, and he’s not close to almost anyone. It’s stunning that he’s in politics, because he really doesn’t like people.” What she meant to say, according to a Twitter apology today, was that he’s “a private person.” So stop pouting now, America.
