The mysterious and shocking daytime assassination of Los Angeles law student Brandon Woodard in midtown earlier this month was part of a bicoastal dispute over a major drug deal, according to DNAinfo investigative journalist Murray Weiss. Weiss reports that a Queens drug crew paid hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars for Mexican cocaine from a Los Angeles drug crew, but the drugs were never delivered. Woodard, apparently some kind of middleman, paid the price. “They screwed with the wrong people,” a source says.
