Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was admitted to New York-Presbyterian hospital after doctors found a blood clot stemming from a concussion she suffered after fainting at home two weeks ago. Clinton is being treated with anti-coagulates, her spokesman Philippe Reines said, and the hospital plans to keep her for the next 48 hours to monitor the treatment and her condition. Reines didn’t give any more details about where the blood clot is, according to The New York Times, just that “her doctors will continue to assess her condition, including other issues associated with her concussion.” The 48-hour stay won’t be enough on its own to keep her from testifying before Congress about Benghazi in January. It will sure be interesting to watch how the conspiracy theorists accusing her of faking her illness respond to this new development.
