The accident, which happened in Suffolk County near exit 68, began when a “tractor trailer struck several vehicles, and they burst into flames. Then numerous other vehicles began to collide,” according to ABC 7. So far nobody is confirmed dead, although three people are in critical condition. Update: Police say one driver, a 68-year-old woman from Blue Point, has died.
