The New York Times’ mission to make us afraid of everything continues today with an article about bedbug infestations in library books. While the New York Public Library claims to have had “fewer than 10 confirmed bedbug cases since 2010 in its 90 branches,” the same cannot be said for the rest of the old-fashioned book houses around the country, some of which have hired bedbug-sniffing dogs and sent librarians to “bedbug boot camp” to learn how to spot the devil’s creatures.
