Mark Sanford Might Run for Congress Against His Ex-Wife (But Probably Not)

CHARLESTON, SC - FEBRUARY 26: Jenny Sanford talks to the media at the Charleston County Courthouse after she was granted a divorce on grounds of adultery from South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford February 26, 2010 in Charleston, South Carolina. Sanford's divorce will become final next month, approximately a year after it was discovered that South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford was having an affair with an Argentine woman. (Photo by Mary Ann Chastain/Getty Images) *** Local Caption *** Jenny Sanford

With South Carolina congressman Tim Scott ascending to the Senate in January, Jenny Sanford — the state’s former first lady who became famous when her now ex-husband, Mark Sanford, “went hiking on the Appalachian Trail” (had lots of sex) with his Argentinian mistress — is reportedly mulling a run for his soon-to-be-vacant House seat. And because he hasn’t done enough to her already, Mark Sanford is also reportedly considering whether to go for the seat. Apparently he still has $124,000 in his old campaign account, and what better use for it than ruining his wife’s life again?
