A baby boy was born to a couple from Lodi, New Jersey, as they were crossing the Holland Tunnel this morning. Quick-thinking officers George McCann and Jean Bernard built an “oxygen tent” to protect the baby’s new lungs from car fumes — he was already crowning by the time they arrived, a spokesman told the New York Post. What we still don’t know is if the baby was born on the New Jersey or New York side. Either way, he’s got a lifetime of pollution to look forward to.
