The headline dramatically declares, “Chuck Schumer wants an apology from Beyonce for lip-syncing at inauguration.” But in the story itself, Schumer, who helped to organize the inauguration, merely confirms that he hasn’t spoken to Beyoncé since her National Anthem performance, and that he “couldn’t tell” she was lip-synching. Nothing about wanting an apology. Probably, he couldn’t care less.
Update: Results! The story’s headline now reads, “Beyonce has yet to apologize to Chuck Schumer for lip-syncing at inauguration.” Obviously, the correction has not been noted.
