As we discovered when President Obama nominated him for Defense secretary earlier this month, Chuck Hagel doesn’t even really need a special reason to look sad — that’s just kind of how his face is all the time. So you can imagine how sad he looked today during his Senate confirmation hearing, when he had an actual reason to be sad, because it was a disaster. In fact, there was a sad face for pretty much every occasion.
