Distressing news from the sandwich world: According to a Post investigation, “[f]our out of seven Footlongs — purchased at Subway locations in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens — measured only 11 or 11.5 inches.” Consequently, the paper calculates that someone who buys a $7 Footlong every other day will be cheated out of $100 worth of sandwich over the course of a year. False advertising? Perhaps. Nevertheless, let he who has never embellished the size of his “hero” cast the first stone.
