John Brennan had a couple of messages he wanted to send at his confirmation hearing this afternoon for his nomination to head the CIA. Brennan wore two bracelets on his right wrist: One was a black 9/11 bracelet that reads “9/11 Memorial” on one side and “United By Hope” on the other. The other was not a Livestrong bracelet, but a wristband paying tribute to Bowe Bergdahl, the Idaho-born American POW who has been held by the Taliban since June 2009 and remains the only American solider in enemy captivity.
