The Bronx High School of Science administration is sure taking this hazing scandal seriously, suspending the athletic director and two track coaches in its wake. But the students, at least the ones talking to media, don’t seem nearly as concerned. “It was just jokes,” one told the New York Times. Another described the incident as “a few kids hanging around in the locker room and probably one taking things too seriously.” Seeing as how the three students arrested are being charged as adults per state law, the difference in perspective is pretty vast.
