Contrary to media reports, Saudia Arabia claims that it won’t sever the spinal cord of a 24-year-old man convicted of paralyzing his friend in a stabbing incident ten years ago. “We hope that everyone verifies the facts because fabricated news undermine the credibility of those who disseminate them,” the Ministry of Justice said on Twitter. They didn’t announce what punishment the man will receive instead, but probably he’ll be pushed into a pit of snakes and set on fire.
