On the ninth day of the selection process, a panel has been chosen to decide the fate of George Zimmerman in the high-profile, racially fraught shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. The six-person jury, which is apparently a thing in Florida, will include five white women and one woman described as a “Hispanic” or “lighter-skinned black.” The group’s interests include reality TV, having lots of pets, and guns. The trial starts next week.
