Cleveland Kidnap Victims Break Silence With Thank-You Video

On Monday night, Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus, and Michelle Knight spoke publicly for the first time since they were rescued from the Cleveland, Ohio home where they were held captive for a decade. In a video posted to YouTube, the three women thank their supporters, who sent more than $1 million in donations.  They don’t discuss Ariel Castro, who pleaded not guilty to 329 charges related to their kidnapping and captivity, and their lawyer tells the AP they aren’t interested in speaking to the media. “I want everyone to know how happy I am to be home with my family,” says Berry. “I’m getting stronger each day, and having my privacy has helped immensely.”
