When the Paper of Record wondered whether Mayor Bloomberg’s dogs, which he doesn’t really like, have been asked to participate in the forthcoming election, his girlfriend Diana Taylor said, “Well, yes, they have, as a matter of fact,” like any doting, anthropomorphizing owner would. “But they’ve been thinking about it, and they really can’t endorse anybody during the primary, but we’ll see what happens in the general election.” For the record, Weiner will take anything.
