The absolute worst story of the day comes from Nigeria, where gunmen thought to be with the Islamic militant movement Boko Haram attacked an agricultural college, opening fire on sleeping students and killing as many as 50 of them, many in their beds. Others were gathered into groups outside and executed. Boko Haram, which wants to establish an Islamic state in northern Nigeria, has targeted several schools recently that it sees as promoting Western education and culture.
