It turns out President Barack Obama does not require all 585 acres of Prospect Park to land a helicopter when he visits a school on Friday. The website for the Prospect Park Alliance, which initially said the whole park would be closed, now carries a notice clarifying that “only portions of Prospect Park will not be accessible on Friday.” But it doesn’t say which ones. For those who want to avoid uncertainty, there’s a Halloween-appropriate alternative: The normally jogging-unfriendly Greenwood Cemetery will allow runners in from noon to 6 p.m., while Obama uses Prospect Park.
