The massive, shiny luxury skyscraper on West 57th Street, where a fallen crane dangled for days after Hurricane Sandy, had yet another crane malfunction this morning, shutting down the area below. New York’s own S. Jhoanna Robledo was on the scene and shared these photos from the screwup, which left a 13,000-pound box of concrete dangling above the street during Monday’s inclement windy weather.
No injuries have been reported, but the street was closed between Sixth and Seventh Avenues just in case.
