Earlier today, Joe Biden swung by the grand opening of D.C.’s Capriotti’s, a “Delaware-born sandwich shop and longtime Biden favorite.” Biden reportedly picked up some sandwiches for himself and President Obama, and had to borrow $10 from his assistant to pay for them. Here’s how everything went down, possibly, as far as we know.
“Hmmm, let’s see. Not seeing any beer here. That’s okay, I guess.”
“I reject the false choice presented by some, on both sides of the aisle, between roast beef and turkey. Joe, let me be clear: I want a tuna sandwich.”
Biden stayed perfectly still in this position for seven minutes while his sandwiches were being made.
“Oh, damn, I’m a little short. Guess I shouldn’t have bought that dime bag of po — ummmm, possums. Dime bag of possums.”
“Free sandwich for the first guy who can pin me!”
