A memo recently sent to the city’s firefighters and EMTs — who have a tendency to post inappropriate and offensive things on social media — informed New York’s bravest that they are no longer permitted to take photographs or make audio or video recordings while on the job, the Post reports. Unfortunately, the new rule also applied to this year’s holiday party, which led one FDNY employee to complain, “So, if one of my kids wants to sit on Santa’s lap in the firehouse — he’s not going to get his Kodak moment. It’s a shame that because of a few knuckleheads, the kids have to suffer.” If only those kids had taught their parents about privacy settings.
