Like George W. Bush before him, the internationally notorious George Zimmerman has found his softer side by painting. Unlike the former president, Zimmerman has financial problems and is selling his work on eBay. Also, it’s not good.
Just days after slithering out from underneath new domestic violence charges, the Florida man, best known for killing Trayvon Martin, has listed “George Zimmerman original painting” on the auction site using the name “therealgeorgez.” (His brother confirmed the work is legit.) Bidding started at $50 and has already reached more than $300, with more than four days to go.
Zimmerman, who categorizes the painting’s subject as “America,” writes in the description:
First hand painted artwork by me, George Zimmerman. Everyone has been asking what I have been doing with myself. I found a creative, way to express myself, my emotions and the symbols that represent my experiences. My art work allows me to reflect, providing a therapeutic outlet and allows me to remain indoors :-) I hope you enjoy owning this piece as much as I enjoyed creating it. Your friend, George Zimmerman
The symbolism is not subtle: “Under” God is “one nation,” see? O’er the land of the somehow free.
