Such is the conclusion of a study by the dating site AYI.com, whose examination of 50,000 of its users’ interactions found that men shorter than 5 feet 9 inches had a particularly hard time in Manhattan, where only 1.2 percent of women would contact them, but a much better time in Jersey City, where 7.6 percent of women would do so. It’s not like anybody’s ever honest about their height on those sites, though, so maybe the takeaway here is just to lie upwards of 5 feet 9.
