“They’re just mistaken,” said the mayor today, in response to the highly dubious, tabloid-stretched claims that he left the Upper East Side unplowed after yesterday’s snow. “No one was treated differently. We believe in a five-borough approach in everything we do.” He added, “I think people need to be mindful when they hurl those charges. That is not real respectful of the men and women who work so hard for us in sanitation. They were out there in force in every neighborhood.” Besides, as has been pointed out, Bloomberg’s snowplow guy is still in charge. And this is not New Jersey.
