Though Doug Ford initially claimed that a new video of his brother rambling incoherently in a Steak Queen restaurant was not made recently, Toronto mayor Rob Ford admitted on Wednesday that the footage was shot on Monday evening. And, yes, he’d consumed “a little bit” of alcohol. (But no drugs!) As for whether his drunken use of Jamaican accent and patois — including the profanity “bumboclot” — captured on tape was offensive, Ford said, “It’s my own time. I met some friends. If I speak that way, that’s how I speak with some of my friends and no, I don’t think it’s discriminative at all.” But usually friends don’t record friends embarrassing themselves so they can post it to YouTube.
