$765 Million Not Enough to Make Up for All the NFL Head Injuries, Says Judge

I am primarily concerned that not all retired NFL football players who ultimately receive a qualifying diagnosis” — Alzheimer’s, dementia, CTE — “will be paid,” said a federal judge today, rejecting the settlement agreed upon by the league and its concussed legions. Up to 20,000 former players may ultimately be eligible, the judge said, and the NFL, which rakes in billions a year, needs to be prepared. How about these playoffs, huh?
