Vladimir Putin defended his country’s anti-gay “propaganda and pedophilia” law today, insisting visitors to the Winter Olympics “can feel relaxed and calm,” even if they’re gay, “but leave children alone, please.” For every boneheaded statement Putin makes over the next few weeks, President Obama should add another last-minute gay member to the U.S. delegation.
