Carlos Amarillo has been charged with fatally beating his girlfriend, Estrella Castaneda, and her adult daughter, Lina, with a hammer last night at the home they shared, telling police in a confession that he thought the women were witches “doing voodoo on him.” Lina’s 7-year-old daughter was present at the time, but not physically harmed. It’s the second brutal Queens multiple homicide in less than a week, after a jealous husband allegedly stabbed his wife and two young daughters to death on Friday.
